HIX KSA 2025 / A Sense of Place

Following the success of HIX LDN, Europe’s leading hotel design event is going international with an event dedicated to the latest and greatest hospitality interiors across the thriving MEA region.  

Landing at Riyadh Arena on 18-20 February 2025, HIX KSA will bring our signature expo, talk, social and installation strands to a new setting, celebrating the flourishing hotel design community in one of the industry’s most exciting hospitality hotspots.  

Like HIX LDN (27 & 28 November 2024) the debut edition of HIX KSA will be guided by the theme ‘a sense of place’, with every element of the event – from an exhibition of leading design brands and insightful talks agenda to networking breakouts and parties – set to be informed by the connection between space and place.  

Although the theme will remain the same across these events, each will interpret it in their own way, reflecting the cultural, aesthetic and commercial elements unique to its host region.  

Indeed, with some of the most acclaimed, innovative and ambitious hotel designers flocking to the region to launch an inspiring new wave of hospitality interior experiences, HIX KSA will explore what makes Saudi Arabia and the wider MEA market such a compelling proposition for operators, architects, designers and investors alike.  

Through talks, expo, social and installation strands we ask what ‘a sense of place’ means for hotel design, because where a space provides the platform, it is only when brought to life with lived human experience that it truly becomes a place.  

We say ‘the place to be’, not ‘the space to be’ for this very reason, and where spaces can excite and intrigue, it is the places they become that really stick with us. This is especially true in hotels, where increasingly close focus on remarkable locales and their distinctive identities sees the industry more invested in this process than ever before.
